2-Tier ABA
What is 2-Tier ABA?
In the 2-Tier model of ABA, a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) works directly with the client with the guidance and supervision of a BCBA®. The BCBA works closely with the RBT to implement ASD treatment with the client, as well as with you. Caregivers implementing these ABA strategies outside of session time is an essential component to treatment success and is well associated with positive treatment outcomes for people with ASD.
Program Components
Assessment
To guide the development of the client’s behavioral program, we offer a formal assessment before services begin and throughout the program to ensure treatment success.
Treatment
The client will receive an individualized ASD treatment plan developed by our Licensed Behavior Analyst. The treatment plan is based on the initial ABA assessment and ongoing re-assessments throughout the duration of the plan. The treatment plan is reviewed regularly to ensure progress in treatment goals.
Parent & Family Involvement
An important part of our ABA program is training parents, family members and caretakers to best support the client and their ASD treatment plan during and after sessions. For this reason, our in-depth Caregiver-Led ABA curriculum is an essential component of our program.
What is the Goal of ABA?
The goal is to help people with autism develop skills that will help them reach their fullest potential, increase their quality of life and live as independently as possible by integrating into their community in meaningful ways.
